Chris Hornberger

With more than 30 years’ experience as a business leader, Chris brings
a deep understanding of the issues facing today’s leaders. As an
executive coach and management consultant and a founding partner
in Halifax Global Inc., she specializes in providing executives with
strategic counsel, coaching and advisory, and planning and facilitation
services.
Prior to launching her coaching and consulting career, Chris worked
in the public and private sectors in Canada and the US as an executive
in workers’ compensation, health insurance and health IT. Her clients
represent diverse sectors including health care; research and scientific organizations; post-secondary
education institutions; and social services and government services organizations; among others.
Many of Chris’ clients are women leaders nationally, regionally and locally. Much of her work is about
diversity and inclusion including women in technology, persons with disabilities, and immigrants and
refugees.
Passionate about women’s issues, Chris is a past member of the executive and board of the International
Women’s Forum Canada – Atlantic Chapter and acts as a mentor to young women and men through the
Halifax Partnership Connector Program, Immigrant Settlement Association of Nova Scotia and
Futurpreneur. She currently serves as the President of the Rotary Club of Halifax Harbourside.
